The documentation started at 15:48 GMT+1 and last for approximately 4 minutes. The work features a looping video of 24 events that have been condensed into 24 individual frames; the video itself plays at 24 frames per second. Behind this is a live stream of footage provided by the Japanese SELENE moon orbiter. (The live stream, and its accompanying audio, are provided by the YouTube channel 'Space Videos'.) When shown IRL, the work is presented using a mini-computer that's connected to a monitor, being initiated from a simple command prompt. As such, when the work is exhibited the stream is presented in real time. |
